Module carrier - variants
The module carrier is individually manufactured for each case of application.
That means: The entire spectrum of all Solar Power-modules available at the market can be used. The framework width and length determine the number of module rows. The PV-modules are laterally introduced and locked to 8m/12m special profiles. No additional screw connection of the module framework is necessary, which means that assembly is fast and simple. Pin-riveted or secured screwed angle profiles on the sides protect the module rows from theft. Cross-wind bonds provide stability to the entire construction. The module carrier profiles are galvanized or made of aluminum and are develivered as prefabricated assembly packages.
The adjusted total output of a mover is approx. 6-22 kWp. Custom-made variations can be realized at the customer´s request at short notice. New PV-module types are introduced to our current range at short notice.
• Control — communication — sensor technology — security
A „center control unit" (ZS) accurately determines the current solar coordinates (azimuth and elevation) every ten minutes and supplies - via a digital data bus - all movers in the network with these correcting variables. The „Local Control Units" (LS) receive this geometric data, assume engine control for rotation/lift/drop and supervise all operations.
Advantage:
A central Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with star wiring to each mover is not necessary!
If interferences occur, the LS communicates with the ZS via the data bus.
All events are registered into a log with time stamp, mover address and breakdown reason and are so always documented comprehensibly. Up to eight reporting lines (telephone numbers) transfer all necessary information to an internal or external control center, security agency or a service company by modem. Messages are conveyed as computer data, fax or per cell-phone
text message. With remote diagnostics, the interference reason can often
already be analyzed and corrected on-line, unless mechanical errors have occurred.
A „sabotage sensor" at the mover gives a silent or active (siren, flashlight) alarm, for example if someone tries to destroy the module safety devices with a friction disk. A global radiation sensor (Pyranometer) measures the current radiation. Event-controlled, the entire module surface is moved into the optimal yield position. Wind direction and strength are conveyed digitally to the centralized control. Starting at wind speeds of approx. 80km/h, the module surfaces are moved into flat positions of about 5° inclination and turned additionally 90° from the prevailing wind direction. In case of failure of the centralized control unit, the basic functions of the individual movers remain intact. An integrated failsafe program continues to operate the rotation/lift/drop movements. For solar parks with more than 30 Solar Power Movers, a double configuration of the central control unit is ecommended, in which case a master control supervises operational functions. A second control (Slave) works in Hot Standby and takes over master control in case of trouble. A „Watchdog" function assures mutual control of both central units in real-time.
